| ID Policy | | A No Coat / No Backpack Policy" LETTER
April 7, 2006 Dear Parents: On April 6, 2006 the students were informed via announcements that effective Monday, April 18, 2006 Surrattsville High School was moving to "A No Coat/No Backpack Policy" in the classrooms for the remainder of the academic school year. The students were instructed upon their return to school that the backpacks and the coats must be placed into their locker when they arrive to school daily. Your child will be afforded the opportunity to utilize the locker before school, during lunch, and after school. No student will be allowed to enter any classroom with a coat or backpack. The administrative and security team have put a plan in place to assist any student who may have issues with storage and lockers. It is our hope that you reinforce the importance of your child's adherence to school policy and school rules as we continue to institute measures that provide a safe environment conducive to processes and outcomes of instruction.
