MANDATORY UNIFORM ITEMS for School Year 2009 - 2010

The following items are required as the daily dress code for ALL students attending Surrattsville High School:

Identification badge must be worn everyday on a breakaway chain in accordance with the identification badge policy and the Code of Student Conduct.

Gray Pant or Slacks Gray: No jeans or denim material

Skirts Gray:  NO thermal wear, sweat pants, pajamas, or pants are permitted underneath skirts

Shirts- Green or Gold Oxford or Polo, No T-Shirts of any kind!  (Unsex Shirts** )


NOTICE! CHANGE IN SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY EFFECTIVE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR:

All students are expected to attend the school assigned to the address at which the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) resides. Students must not withdraw from or cease attendance at their assigned schools except upon the receipt of an official letter of transfer approval.

Phase Two - Comprehensive Boundary Review
 

The Prince George’s County Board of Education will begin the second phase of a comprehensive boundary review of Prince George’s County Public Schools during the summer of 2009 in order to complete the overall review of boundaries for the county.

Timeline:

  • Summer 2009 - Initial boundary proposal plan review
  • Fall 2009 - Community Meetings to receive input on proposed boundary review
  • Winter 2009 – Board Review and vote on boundary review
